Gabriel (Gabe) Mancino-Ball is a PhD student in the Mathematical Sciences department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Originally from Minnesota, he received his BS in mathematics from Winona State University in the spring of 2018. His research interests lie in the intersection of decentralized computing and nonlinear optimization. He is particularly interested in guaranteeing the performance of decentralized optimization algorithms that solve challenging distributed learning problems.
